Calli Sokolowski – Tennis Athlete of the Week

In the MHSAA State finals, Calli was the number #3 seed in the 3rd singles flight.  She defeated Birmingham Groves 6-4, 6-0 and then GR Forest Hills Central 6-1, 6-1 to reach the semifinals.  Calli finished her championship run losing to the #2 seed from Mattawan.  Great tournament Calli!  Congratulations!  The team finished 8th place in

Tennis Athlete of the Week … Makenzi Sells!

Makenzi Sells won the FML tournament at 2 singles.  She defeated Clio 6-0, 6-0; Owosso 6-0, 6-0 and Kearsley 6-1, 6-0.  Fantastic tournament Makenzi!  Congratulations!

State Bank Athlete of the Week for Tennis … Weeder & Lesch!

Congratulations to our State Bank Athlete of the Week winners for Tennis … Paige Weeder & Lauren Lesch! Last Thursday they became MHSAA regional champions at the 4 doubles flight! Good luck this week in the FML tournament and next week at the MHSAA state finals!

1 Doubles Megan McReynolds and Makayla Bilbia had an awesome week of tennis going 3-1 with their only loss coming to defending division 1 state champion Northville. Their wins included Brandon, Midland Dow, and most impressively defeating Grand Rapids Christian (ranked Top 5 in Division 3) – a team they had lost to earlier in
